I just moved to a fast ATT U-verse Internet (3MB/1MB) &

kept my old NewsGroup provider & E-mail address (EXECPC).

I read this Snomo Group twice a day... every day...

Trails generally open here about Dec 15th....

And Snomo dealers around here are bigger & fewer.

Been riding sleds since 1971.

Current ride is 2003 Indy Classic 600 M-10

And I do mark 2 miles of Club trail SE of GBay.

With the advent of forums, blogs and so on that allow more than just text
and are more user friendly, Usenet in general is antiquated and being
abandoned by most ISP's. Even in its heyday, Usenet was not as well known
as other types of communications. Even email is starting to decline with
the younger crowd, favouring instant messaging and cell phone texting.

Plus, online forums can cater to specific makes, models instead of just
"snowmobiles" in general, although that in itself is not a bad thing
(issues/resolutions for Ski-Doos may also work on other makes).

RSS is heading back to it's origins.
13 yrs ago when I got a 'puter and found newsgroups & RSS I couldn't wait to
read it.
It's why I still read it daily, it's part of the E mail reading routine.
Most other newsgroups I read are polluted with the outcasts banned from the
other forums.

It is a shame. I have gotten and shared many tips here. Even our local
computer selling group ott.forsale.computing has dropped off to near 0 posts
since Kijiji and Usedottawa.com have started. It had normally 100+ posts
per day. Funny thing is that Usedottawa advertised itself in the
newsgroup.

Most of the forums I have checked out are full of youngsters that can't
spell, think they are the experts on everything under the sun, and their
(ab)use of the English language is atrocious.

I've been on here for over twelve years and it is still a part of my daily
e-mail routine and probably always will be. I'm glad Telus still carries it
on their servers....

Hey,.... I have been unable to access this newsgroup for a few weeks
now. Of course,... I just managed to get up off the floor at Hoppy's
now........They have snow in Kenton.

The Iron Range Trail system In the Hoppyzone is gearing up for a good
year. All groomers are in top condition and they are getting at least
one new drag.
