141 inch track

I have a yamaha mountainmax with a 141 inch track and would like to put a
144 inch track on it. Does any one know if I can do this without any majour
modifications?

Not sure. How much room do you have at the rear axle, track tension
adjustment? You may be able to take up some of the slack with larger
diameter rear wheels, if you can get larger wheels and an offset axle. I
don't know if anyone makes a rail extension for that small a change, but
check with Tracks USA, or the other companies that deal with track
extensions. If you found a good deal on a 144" track, make sure it also
is compatible with the pitch of the drivers on the drive axle.
