How steep of an ice slope can a snowmobile climb? No snow. Just solid,
hard ice 2 to 3 feet thick.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I've searched Google and
askjeeves and other places but can't seem to find the answer.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated.

I only need the info for a paper I'm writing. I'm NOT going to be
trying anything on my own.

Thanks to any one who reads this and double thanks if you can answer my
inquiry.

You're welcome, it's pretty cool... it should give you a pretty good
idea of what's possible.

OK, I watched that one and a few others. I think they give me enough
info to believe that a snowmobile could handle an ice slope rise of 1
foot per 7 foot run for several miles without loosing traction and
slipping back down.

Again, thanks for the info.
