Can anybody help me with this problem. My problem is similar to "Skidoo Cuts
Out at Trail Speeds". However, it appears to be electronic. It starts to bog
in mid range, like nothings there, but will sit and idle normally, and will
drive down the trail at wide open throtlle. When your riding it under these
conditions, it's either W.O.T. , or idle, nothing in between except a bog. I
can either drive it like this for 15 min, or shut it down to cool for 10-15
min, and it acts just like normal again. Sometimes it comes back the same
day, sometimes not.

Anybody have any ideas? I'm thinking maybe it's the brain box, but?????

Thanks in advance, Mike

I don't play with anything that new :o)
But my first step would be to thoroughly clean the carbs - a lean condition
in the midrange will over heat the engine and make for a nasty bog - before
meltdown that is....

If that does not fix then I would check crank seals - mid range leakage at
higher vacuum levels would cause same problem as above - the amount of
leakage at WOT would not be as noticeable because the higher amount of fuel
present.

Good Luck

If you suspect an electronic component is causing the problem, and from your
description it seems likely, you might try spraying the electronic modules
with a circuit cooler like Krylon Sprayon Circuit Cooler. The spay will
quickly drop the temperature of the component, and if the problem goes away
you've found your problem. MSC and Grainger are a couple companies that
carry these products.

Definitely sounds like a problem with the DPM.(brain box) Did you try
wiggling the electronic key on its post - sometimes a dirty connection there
will cause similar problems.

A couple of very excellent things to check out. I'll try this on my doo and
see what happens.
Thanks, Mike
