Hi anyone.

I am a computer dummy and have never been in a discussion group before
and have no idea how this works. I would like to know what horse
power a 377 Safari would generate. It has done everything I needed it
to do (pull my sleigh) for 23 years but I am not a mechanic and the
old girl seems to have a habit now of fouling up one plug and then
running on only one cylinder or not at all

I am interested in replacing my old machine and I happened to see a
new Yamaha Bravo 250 in a showroom last week which is 25 HP.

I think that someone told me once that my 377 is 18 HP so if that is
the case then the 25 H.P. Yahama should be more than I need.

I have not decided on the Yahama but I have just started to look and
so that is the only question I know to ask just now.

Any suggestions?

Cheers, Bob

WOW! Was this really posted in 2008 - I mean, a NEW Bravo considered?
I think the Bravo was introduced in 1983, after the ET250 Enticer line.

Bob, I don't know the actual HP rating, (why didn't you ask the selling
dealer?) but I'll tell you this.
The Bravo is a single cylinder motor of 250cc's
You Doo is a two cylinder motor with 377cc's.

I'm old school, which says bigger has more power.

AS a ruff fan cooled Engine HP rating......

a fan cooled 250cc is about 25 HP

a fan cooled 377cc is about 37 HP

The 377 should be a better puller.....
