Comcast is pulling the plug on newsgroups effective 10/25/2008 in my area.
Each subscriber will have to find a newsgroup supplier after that date.
There are several free providers.

Motzarella.org is pretty reliable. There is also aioe.org but can be flakey
(whenever an ISP stops providing Usenet access).

Yep, Usenet is going the way of the dodo bird. Just us timers hanging on.

I went to aioe.cjb.net a couple of years ago when the plugged got pulled on
me.
Free and reliable so far.......
